Loyc Vanderkluysen uses multidisciplinary approaches to study the evolution and origin of volcanic and hydrothermal systems. With a mixed background in geochemistry, remote sensing and volcanology, he specializes in the study of Large Igneous Provinces and arc volcanoes, with special emphasis on the origin of erupted lavas and emitted gases. His current focus is on the imagery and geochemical and thermal monitoring of active volcanoes, geothermal areas and mud volcanoes.
